The Jefferson Middle School Spelling Bee took place on January 19th. All the spelling bee participants did a wonderful job spelling their way through the rounds before spelling out and leaving only two participants. Eight grader Adam Herron and sixth grader Dylan Christensen continued to battle through 7 more rounds competing for the championship. Finally, during the 18th round, Dylan Christensen emerged as the 2017 JMS Spelling CHAMPION! Dylan will now represent Jefferson Middle School in the Southern Appalachian Regional Spelling Bee on March 4th. His friends at Jefferson Middle School certainly wish him the best of luck!
