Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

All students and families are invited to attend the annual college and career fair in the Wildcat Arena on Monday, September 22, from 5pm-6:30pm.

We are also encouraging all students to wear college, career or military shirts next week as we celebrate college month.

Attention AP Students: The Fall AP payment window is now open and closes on Friday, October 31^st at 11:59pm for all students currently enrolled in a fall or yearlong AP course.  If you begin your AP course in January, you will pay in the spring.  This year all AP exams are $102. The link to register and pay is available to all AP students via Parent/Student Square.

WOW—also known as Walk Over Wednesday is at St. Stephen’s Church every Wednesday!  Juniors and Seniors with off campus lunch can enjoy a meal for just $3.  it’s a great deal!  Come enjoy a “homemade meal”.

Soccer Club of Oak Ridge is looking for several volunteers September 20/21st to support the large soccer tournament.  If you are interested, the form to fill out is in the iNews as well as grade level Canvas pages.

The latest colleges that will be visiting us, after school in Counseling are:

Pellissippi State on Thursday the 18^th

And Queens University of Charlotte on Tuesday the 23rd.

If you are curious about any of these schools, it makes a big impression on admissions representatives when you stop by!

Anyone looking to get extra help preparing for the ACT test can sign up for the ACT Boot Camp, which will be held on the first four days of Fall Break, September 29 to October 2. Sessions will be from 8-11 a.m. in the amphitheater. Each day focuses on a different section of the test. This opportunity is free, but transportation will not be provided, and lunch will not be served. Sign up links are in the class Canvas pages, the iNews, and have been sent through ParentSquare. Please sign up by Friday, Sept. 19. If you have any questions, see Mr. Stebbins in CS339 or Dr. Fisher.

CLUB INFO

FBLA will meet after school today in CS347. Please bring $18 for dues and parent permission forms. Refreshments will be served, and officers will be elected.

FCA will meet on Friday morning, September 19th, at 7:00 AM!!  We will meet at Grace Baptist-Oak Ridge Campus (formerly Central Baptist) – directly across the street from the bus loop and arena at the high school.  Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at approximately 7:10. We will be dismissed by 7:35. All are welcome!!!  If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football/baseball coach).

SENIORS

Submit designs for the 2026 Senior Signature shirt by September 18 to Mrs. Ledden in CS347 or to tledden@ortn.edu. Prizes totaling $50 for front and back.

The 2025 QuestBridge National College Match for high school seniors is now open!  QuestBridge is a college partner program to find FULLfour-year scholarships to the nation’s top colleges for high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds.  Visit questbridge.org to learn more about the program and to apply!! Deadline for applications is Sept. 30th!!
