Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Picture makeup and retakes for 9^th-11^th graders and all faculty and staff members will be Friday, September 12^th   in the B-Gym.  Students will be called down by last name. Pictures will be taken from 8-2pm.  Teachers: If you have 5^th block plan and need your photo taken you will want to do so at the very beginning of 5th.

Attention all Sophomores and Juniors: The PSAT/NMSQT is an OPTIONAL test that will be offered to 10^th and 11^th graders at Oak Ridge High School on Tuesday, October 21st at 7:50 a.m.  The test should end by 1:00 p.m. and the food court will be open at that time for students that take the test to eat lunch.  The online registration and payment portal will open next Monday and close on Tuesday, September 9^th. Register and pay at aptsusa.com/oakridge.  The cost is $20. No refunds are available if you do not take the test.  A limited number of exams are available. Please sign up by the September 9^th deadline.

A reminder that the front row parking spaces at both Wildcat Arena and in front of Secret City Academy are STAFF parking only.  Handicap parking spots are for handicap vehicles with tags or stickers.  No students should park in these areas.

Attention AP Students:

The Fall AP payment window will open on Monday, September 15^th and close on Friday, October 31^st at 11:59pm for all students currently enrolled in a fall or yearlong AP course.  If you begin your AP course in January, you will pay in the spring.  This year all AP exams are $102. The link to pay and register will be sent to all AP students via Parent/Student Square on September 15^th.

CLUB INFO

Do you want to help plan school-wide events that improve relationships between staff and students? Do you want to help out with our annual trunk or treat? Then please join Wildcats for Change during 3a lunch class on Wednesday, September 10 in the AUDITORIUM.   GRAB your lunch and head on in. We will take role and let your teachers know if you’re in the meeting.

FCA will meet on Friday morning, September 12th, at 7:00 AM!!  We will meet at Grace Baptist-Oak Ridge Campus (formerly Central Baptist) – the same meeting location as last week!  The location is directly across the street from the bus loop and arena at the high school.  Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at approximately 7:10. We will be dismissed by 7:35. All are welcome!!!  If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football/baseball coach).

FBLA will meet after school on Wednesday, September 10, in CS347. Students should bring Parent permission forms and $18 for dues.

Bonjour! French Club will meet Thursday 9/11/25 in CS 312 Madame Pry’s room to sign up for our cheese tasting and continue the film. Merci!

HOSA underclassman!!!

If you want to compete with HOSA please come Wednesday morning at 7:15 to CS200 to check out available events and sign up.

This is only for those who want to compete! See you then!

“Riding a motorcycle is a tribute, a tip of the helmet as it were, to our rugged ancestors who challenge us through the dust of centuries, proof that we have succumbed to the safety nets of civilization.”  Motorcycle club will meet briefly during 3A this Thursday in LC210. Come help plan our meetings and activities and elect officers. Chocolate provided.

SENIORS

Seniors: Picture makeups/retakes are September 11 and September 12 in the B-gym.  These will be for the cap/gown and formal poses only. You MUST sign up to schedule your makeup or retake session using the link posted in parent square by end of day, September 9^th.

When signing up, if you are doing a retake and have already paid a sitting fee, in the comments please write “retake.”   If you know you will not be purchasing a photo package and just wish to have your picture taken for the yearbook, choose the “mini” package.  You will not need to pay a sitting fee even though it says payment will be due at the time of the photo.

Seniors: only one design has been submitted for the 2026 Senior Signature shirt. Get those designs in by September 18 to Mrs. Ledden in CS347. Prizes totaling $50 for front and back.

ATHLETICS.

Please come out and support your Lady Wildcat volleyball team on Tuesday, September 9^th as they take on the Dragons and on Thursday, September 11th and they take on the Mavericks. These are both big district games, and your support will have an impact on our success. ORHS students who sit in the student section get in free, and the first 25 at each game will get free pizza. Hope to see you all there to cheer us on!
