Parking Spot Design Applications are available now! Current juniors and seniors are eligible to choose, design, and paint their own parking spots for the 2025-2026 school year. Spots are $30, and those who turn in money and an application by the end of the day on August 15th will be eligible to choose their spots after school on August 18th. The first all grades Student Council meeting of the year will take place on Thursday August 14th in LC311. If you are a current junior or senior who wishes to make ORHS a better place, we invite you to come and develop your leadership skills with us. Come be the change you want to see in the school!
Important information about lunch detention. Lunch detention will be held in the Amphitheater this year. Students having lunch detention will be reminded via StudentSquare. If you have not downloaded StudentSquare to your device, please do so or monitor your email. Failing to know or remember will not be an excuse. To quote Mr. Sauer, “Lunch Detention is 100% preventable.
Calling all students! Do you want to help plan prom? Applications for the prom board are now open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors! Come by Mrs. Royster’s room VA 102 anytime to pick up an application. Let’s start planning next year’s unforgettable prom together! (If you already picked up and completed an application at the end of the last school year, you do not need to resubmit.)
Students – Did you know that you can save over $350 by purchasing a $60 Student Athletic Pass get your admit to every home regular season ORHS athletic event for the 25 / 26 school year. This includes – football / soccer / volleyball / basketball / baseball / softball / track – and you don’t have to wait in line at the ticket booth to purchase your ticket. Ticket prices for football and basketball games are now $10 per person so the savings for just fall sports is over $100. You can purchase your 25/26 Student Athletic Pass starting Monday morning at the Athletic Table in the Main Lobby between 7:30 – 7:45. Don’t miss this great savings! Go CATS ! ! ! !
CLUB INFO
The application window for students who wish to join the National Honor Society is now open through Friday, August 15th. To be eligible, you must be a SENIOR with a 3.8 weighted GPA. You can find the link to the application in your Class of 2026 Canvas page or the iNEWS. If you have any questions, please see Dr. Thomas or Mr. Feuer.
Youth for Christ is meeting Monday, August 11 from 3:15-4. We will meet every subsequent Monday till late October in LC 215, Mr. Moreno’s room. If you are a Christian or someone interested in Christianity, come join us for a time of learning and sharing.
Diversity club will meet in the library this coming Monday, August 11, and every Monday, after school till 4 pm.
