Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

 

STUDENT INFO

 

Parking Spot Design Applications are available now! Current juniors and seniors are eligible to choose, design, and paint their own parking spots for the 2025-2026 school year. Spots are $30, and those who turn in money and an application by the end of the day on August 15th will be eligible to choose their spots after school on August 18th. Applications and more information can be found in LC311 and on the Wildcat Canvas Hangout Page

The first all grades Student Council meeting of the year will take place on Thursday August 14th in LC311. If you are a current junior or senior who wishes to make ORHS a better place, we invite you to come and develop your leadership skills with us. Come be the change you want to see in the school!

 

Juniors & Seniors with off campus lunch can walk over to First United Methodist Church every Thursday for lunch.  Our first lunch of the year will be on Thursday, August 7th. We look forward to seeing you back!

 

Important information about lunch detention. Lunch detention will be held in the Amphitheater this year.  Students having lunch detention will be reminded via StudentSquare.  If you have not downloaded StudentSquare to your device, please do so or monitor your email.  Failing to know or remember will not be an excuse.  To quote Mr. Sauer, “Lunch Detention is 100% preventable.

 

Juniors and Seniors who are allowed to leave campus during the lunch period can join us for “Walk Over Wednesday” lunches at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. The cost is $3.

 

 

CLUB INFO

 

The application window for students who wish to join the National Honor Society is now open through Friday, August 15th. To be eligible, you must be a SENIOR with a 3.8 weighted GPA. You can find the link to the application in your Class of 2026 Canvas page or the iNEWS. If you have any questions, please see Dr. Thomas or Mr. Feuer.

 

FCA will meet Friday morning, August 8th, at 7:10 AM!!  LOCATION CHANGE – we will meet at Grace Baptist-Oak Ridge Campus (formerly Central Baptist)!!  The location is directly across the street from the high school – two buildings down to the right from the Providence House!  Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at approximately 7:10.  We will dismiss by 7:35.  All are welcome!!!  If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football/baseball coach).

Bonjour! French Club will hold it’s first meeting on Thursday, August 7th at 3:15 PM in Madame Barry’s room CS 307! We will be electing officers and making tentative plans for the start of the semester! Merci!

 

Youth for Christ is meeting Monday, August 11 from 3:15-4.  We will meet every subsequent Monday till late October.  If you are a Christian or someone interested in Christianity, come join us for a time of learning and sharing

 

Wildcat Pride will meet in Mr. Jarnigan’s room, LC 321, tomorrow morning at 7:08 am.  We will discuss plans for the upcoming Fall Sports season.  Bring your favorite donut 😊

Exciting news from the world of fantasy and adventure! The moment you’ve been waiting for is finally here. The Dungeons and Dragons Club is kicking off its first meeting of the year!

When: Friday, August 8th from 3:15 PM to 4:30 PM

Where: The Enchanted Chamber in Room CS329

Whether you’re a seasoned sorcerer, a first-time fighter, or a curious cleric, join us for an afternoon of adventure, strategy, and most importantly, fun! Create your own heroes, battle fearsome foes, and embark on quests that will test your wit and bravery.

Never played before? No problem! Our experienced Dungeon Masters are here to guide you on your journey. Bring your imagination, and we’ll provide the rest.
