STUDENT INFO

Parking Spot Design Applications are available now! Current juniors and seniors are eligible to choose, design, and paint their own parking spots for the 2025-2026 school year. Spots are $30, and those who turn in money and an application by the end of the day on August 15th will be eligible to choose their spots after school on August 18th. The first all grades Student Council meeting of the year will take place on Thursday August 14th in LC311. If you are a current junior or senior who wishes to make ORHS a better place, we invite you to come and develop your leadership skills with us. Come be the change you want to see in the school!

 

Level Up Your Library: Join the Steering Committee!

Want a real say in making our library the place to be? We’re looking for passionate and creative students to join our Library Steering Committee!

This isn’t your grandma’s book club. You’ll be taking charge and shaping the future of your library. As part of the team, you’ll get to:

Help us pick out the latest books and makerspace supplies.

Plan epic events.

Share ideas to make the library more comfortable and engaging.

We’ll meet during 3A/3B every day. Your study hall will change to the library, and you will still get a lunch period.  Interested? Stop by the library and talk to Mrs. Milloway by today.

 

Juniors & Seniors with off campus lunch can walk over to First United Methodist Church every Thursday for lunch.  Our first lunch of the year will be on Thursday, August 7th. We look forward to seeing you back!

 

All ORHS students are invited to the 5th annual Back to School Bash hosted by Wildcats for Change this Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 5pm-7pm at the soccer field and in the cafeteria.  We will have field games, tug of war, kick ball, a taco truck and snow biz on site.  Come out and socialize with your peers and staff!

 

Picture day for all 9th-11th graders and faculty and staff will be today, August 1st in the auditorium.  You can order pictures either before or after picture day, however all cash or check orders need to be turned into the photographer on Picture Day.  To order photos, go to mylifetouch.com.  You can either log in, create an account, or click on continue as guest and type in our school code: EVTHPV73P.  This information can also be found on Parent Square.  Please see or email Mrs. Pryfogle with any questions.

 

 

CLUB INFO

The application window for students who wish to join the National Honor Society is now open through Friday, August 15th. To be eligible, you must be a SENIOR with a 3.8 weighted GPA. You can find the link to the application in your Class of 2026 Canvas page or the iNEWS. If you have any questions, please see Dr. Thomas or Mr. Feuer.

 

 

Apply to be on the Youth Advisory Board! As a member of YAB, you’ll act as a liaison between Oak Ridge City Council and the youth of the city to act on issues that affect you.  YAB meets 1-2 times a month on Wednesdays to discuss topics, plan events and develop ideas to help you and your peers grow culturally & socially.  The YAB is involved in many of the City’s events including Halloween, Atomic Fall Fest, children’s holiday breakfast, Egg Hunt, Art in the Park, and you will have the opportunity to take a trip to Nashville for leadership development.

German Club will meet on Monday August 4th, right after school in Mrs. Nebenfuehr’s classroom CS301 at 3:15.  Everyone is welcome!  We have cookies, games and more! We will discuss the activities for this upcoming year.
