Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin




“The Driving Center of Oak Ridge” hosts driver education courses during holiday breaks.  Classes include 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.  Spots are limited.  Please register online at or call 865-482-6700 for info.  Remaining class dates for 2022 include: October 1-4, October 9-12, and December 17-20.

Have you ever been curious about the homes for the mentally ill? If so, or even if not, come watch “The Curious Savage” and experience a warm comedy comparing the kindness and loyalty of the patients inside The Cloisters with the greed and hostility of those on the outside. Join us in the auditorium for this thrilling story on September 15th, 17th, and 18th. Student Tickets are $5; Adult Tickets are $10. Want to learn more about the country of Honduras?  International Friends will meet on Monday, September 12 in LC 335 at 3:15.  Two of our own ORHS students will present on the culture, history, and language of Honduras. Honduran snacks will be provided. We will also make signs to support the Lady Wildcats soccer team. See Ms. Long and Ms. Golden for more information.

Are you interested in showcasing yourself as a singer, musician, or dancer? Do you want to build your skills as you prepare to audition for The Masquers Spring Musical – The Lightning Thief? If so, join us on Monday, September 19th for an audition workshop in the auditorium after school. Ben Rorabaugh, Masquers Music Director, will lead you through the audition process and then separate you into groups to discuss your audition piece with an adult musical coach. The Interact Club will meet on Monday after school in the amphitheater until 4.  We are always accepting new members!

TODAY Student Council and NJROTC will host the 9/11 Memorial service from 8:15am-8:45am. Teachers will have the option to livestream the presentation to their classes, and first responders from the Oak Ridge community will be present. A school wide moment of silence will close the ceremony.

The Yugi-Oh! Club will meet in CS 235 TODAY. Bring your cards and be ready to duel until 5 pm. All students are welcome!

Students wanting to join FBLA this year should bring $10 for dues to Mrs. Ledden in CS347.

FBLA officer team will meet in Mrs. Ledden’s room after school Monday, September 12.
