Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

If you are attending the leadership summit on September 7, 2022, you should report to the Wildcat Arena for 1st period that morning.

The tradition continues! It’s time for the Senior Shirt Design Contest—the shirt that every senior gets to sign. Please submit your designs for the Class of 2023 Senior Shirt to Mrs. Ledden in Room CS347 by Thursday, September 22. You do not have to be a senior to submit designs for the shirt – the contest is open to all grade levels.  We need a front of shirt design and a back of shirt design.  Each of these designs is a separate contest with its own $25 prize – $50 if you win both!  Be sure to incorporate ORHS, Seniors, and Class of 2023 into your drawings.  Place your name and first period teacher’s name on the back of each design entry.  Entries must be original work, and if selected will become the property of Oak Ridge High School. (Selection committee reserves the right to combine two or more designs in which case each person will receive prize money.

Students – Parking on campus is a privilege that requires an ORHS car tag to be displayed from rearview mirror.  Car tags are free, but you must request a tag from Student Services.  Cars without tags are subject to be asked to move.  Students are also reminded to not park in areas that are zoned off for construction.  Students are asked to place all garbage items in the trash cans located in the parking lots. Thank you for keeping our campus clean.

The YuGi-Oh! Club will meet in CS 235 after school TODAY. We will hang out and play cards until 4:30. Make sure you have a ride home. See you soon! (F) R. Colquitt

National Honor Society Members: National Honor Society will offer tutoring during Operation Restoration each lunch period beginning after Labor Day. Each NHS member will be expected to volunteer for five sessions during the fall semester and eight sessions in the spring. A link to the NHS GroupMe group chat and a link to the Sign-Up Genius form to reserve tutoring slots will be forthcoming through school email. Because “service” is one of the “Four Pillars” of National Honor Society, any members who do not complete the required number of sessions may be removed from NHS.

Mu Alpha Theta, the mathematics honors society, will host their first meeting TODAY during lunch in CS236.  If you enjoy competition and working with others to solve problems, please join us!

Future Business Leaders of America will meet after school Tuesday, September 6, in CS347. Any student with an interest in the Business field is invited to attend.
