Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

 

STUDENT INFO

 

 

OR is back!  Teachers are already entering your missing assignments into the OR database.  As soon as an assignment is entered you will be notified by email and your parents will be notified by text message.  You will be expected to be at the next available OR session for your grade.  OR will meet in the Amphitheatre for the full lunch period.  The first day of OR will be Monday and it will be a Junior/Senior day.  Tuesday will be a Freshman/Sophomore day.  The days will alternate throughout the remainder of the school year.  Remember, if you complete your assignments on time this will NEVER apply to you! Do you need a locker?  An email was sent to all students August 2nd with a link to sign up for a locker.  In order to sign up, you will need to know the locker number and the hallway to complete the form. (F) – Admin

 

Outside food – Students are not allowed to have outside food delivered or bring outside food back into the building upon returning from open campus.  However, drinks are permitted.  (F) – Admin

 

Calling all sports fans.  WILDCAT PRIDE, the official unofficially best student section in Tennessee high school sports, met this morning @ 7:13 a.m. to discuss plans for the upcoming fall sports season. If you missed it and you might have missed the donuts, be sure to listen for the announcement for the next meeting. – (F) – P. Jarnigan

 

Anyone interested in joining the high school swim team needs to attend one of the two following meetings in Coach Hodge’s room LC 114 Friday, Aug. 5th during 3B lunch (yes, you may eat in my room) (Th-F) – C. Hodge

 

Students who drive to school will need to have a 2022-23 car tag.  Last year’s tags will not work.  Please come by Student Services and pick up the application to get your free parking tag by Wednesday August 10. (M,W,F) – V.Viruet

 

Did you park near the BIG WildBand trailer?  Students parking in the parking lot on the front side of the building need to be aware that the Band Practice Area closest to the OR Turnpike is used every afternoon.  If you’ve parked in that area today, please move your vehicle during lunch hours.  (Tu,Th) – M. There will be a meeting for INDOOR TRACK Athletes in Coach Sauer’s Room at 2pm on Wednesday August 10th. You know who you are. (Th,F, Tu, W) – T. Sauer

 

Masquers’ Improv will meet at 3:15 on Monday, August 8th in the upper lobby of the Performing Arts Center Auditorium. If you are interested in exploring or growing your acting skills join the Masquers’ Improv Coach as he works with students on Improv skills. The Atomic Acts Improv Team will perform on Oct 1st at the Secret City Improv Festival and on December 9th for Cheap Date Night here at ORHS. (F) – T. Lloyd

Philosophy Club will not meet this week due to illness. We will have our first meeting next Friday. (F) – A. Pickering

GSTA will hold it’s first meeting in the library on Monday, 8/8, after school till 4 pm. Please come to see  old friends, make some new ones, and help decide what day will be best for meeting. Bring a friend! (Th, Th, M) – C. Milloway

 

Attention Health Science students (past students, current students, or spring semester students): Registration for HOSA’s 2022-23 school year is open. Please bring $50 (cash or check) to Mrs. Minarik or Mrs. Pointer by August 31. Do not delay! You don’t want to miss joining this club exclusive to health science students! (M-F ADs – 8.31) – S.
