Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

Underclassmen photos will be taken TODAY in the auditorium. Did you dress to impress? You will be called down by last name throughout the day. (Th) – R. Hale

 

The schedule change window is open now until Friday, July 29th at 3:30 p.m. Counselors are available in the amphitheater to work through schedule changes. If you have submitted the online form, be sure to check your email and stop by the amphitheater if you have questions or still need to work through a change. It is preferred that you come to the amphitheater during the class you want to change but you can also come by between classes or during lunch. (F) – B. Ottinger

 

Are you driving to school this year?  You will need to have a 2022-23 car tag.  Last year’s tags will not work.  Please come by Student Services and pick up the application to get your free parking tag by Wednesday August 10. (M,W,F) – V.Viruet

 

Students parking in the parking lot on the front side of the building need to be aware that the Band Practice Area closest to the OR Turnpike is used every afternoon.  If you’ve parked in that area today, please move your vehicle during lunch hours.  (M-F) – M. Hughey

 

The planned ORHS Swim Team meetings with Coach Hodge this week have been cancelled.  Please look to iNews and morning announcements next week to let you know when the meetings have been rescheduled. (W,F) – C. Hodge

 

Masquers is getting started right away with auditions for the play, “The Curious Savage” on August 1st! That is NEXT Monday! If you would like to be a part of Masquers on or off stage in THIS show, the Improv Team, the Fall Showcase, the Spring Musical “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical”, or Atomic Acts, come to the informational meeting in the Performing Arts Center Auditorium right after school TODAY from 3:15-3:45. Anyone interested in auditioning next week should plan to stay for the audition workshops afterwards! (Th) – T. Lloyd

Do you like to learn about other cultures? Are you interested in meeting new people at ORHS? If so, join us for the International Friends interest meeting after school on Monday, August 1st in Mrs. Long’s room, LC 335. Bring a snack food item from your culture or a favorite snack to share. The Wildcats for Change will be hosting their 2nd Annual Back to School Bash-  Saturday, July 30 from 6-8 at Blankenship Field.  Come out and enjoy kickball, cornhole, tug of war, art and crafts plus much more! There will also be food trucks available.  We ask that all students enter from the bottom of Blankenship. (M,W,F) – A. King
