Today Masquers will have Auditions for CLUE! If you are interested in auditioning, please make sure you bring your signed audition forms to the auditorium right after school today!  (M) – V. Moreno

 

ACT Prep: Any ORHS senior who would like to test drive our new ACT Prep program should email Coach Etheridge by Wednesday (AEtheridge@ortn.edu) indicating your interest. I will create an account for you in ScoreSurgePrep, and then we will meet at 3:30 in the ORHS Amphitheatre on Thursday, September 2, so that I can instruct you in how to use the program purposefully. All seniors have a free ACT retake in October, so take advantage of this free opportunity!  (Tu) – A. Etheridge

 

Do you want to be the next Dr. Dre?  Or maybe DJ Khaled?  Well, the makerspace in the library has just thing for you.  Come down during 3A on Tuesdays or 3b on Thursdays to learn to use our Ableton software.  Remember to have a pass if you’re coming from study hall and bring your badge to sign in.  Before you know it you’ll be laying down some truly sick beats! Students who have been assigned to Operation Restoration but complete the assignment MUST come to OR to show evidence of submission before being released to leave campus.  However,  students completing their assignment and are ready to submit may see Mrs. Thompson in the Main Lobby DURING LUNCH to show their work for submission and be released from OR rather than coming at 3:15.      Students who FAIL to show their submission to an OR Coach or Mrs. Thompson will be counted as skipping OR and receive skipping consequences. The Interact Club will meet in the amphitheater after school Monday until around 4.  If you to have fun, volunteer and help others, please join us!  (M) – A. King

 

Bonjour! The French Club-Le Cercle Français-is starting up again! Our next meeting will be  Thursday September 2nd from 3:15-4 in LC304. We’ll get to know each other and work on other club details. COUNSELING INFORMATION

 

ORHS is happy to announce we will be able to host college representative visits both virtually and in person this year!!  We will announce visits in the Daily Bulletin and in the iNews.  We have our first in-person visit scheduled for Tuesday, August 31st at 3:15pm in the Counseling Office. A representative from Savannah College of Art and Design will be here to answer your questions about their school.  No sign up is necessary for in-person visits.  (8/6-8/31 MWF) – A. Senior Information

 

Attention Seniors-you have the opportunity to pay $50 and claim a parking spot that is your own through the duration of the school year. You will then customize your spot. This means you will have your own parking spot for the entire school year customized by you!

If you want to personalize and reserve a parking space you have until Thursday, September 9th to turn in the application and money to the ORHS cheerleaders. Please stop by the arena after school on Tuesdays or Thursdays to see a cheerleader, or check the iNEWS for a link to the sign up form and Venmo information.   (M,W,F) – B. Este
