Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Attention Students who park in the church parking lots on Providence Road during school. Please make sure that you do not leave trash or other items in the parking lots of the churches across Providence Road. If we continue to get complaints, students will not be allowed to park in the lots.

 

All ORHS library books are now due back to the library. Please return them as soon as possible.

The City of Oak Ridge Youth Advisory Board is accepting applications for the 2021-2022 term of office. The Board is comprised of sixteen (16) students, all of whom are required to be residents of the City of Oak Ridge. All members are appointed and confirmed by City Council to serve a one-year term of office commencing on August 1st. Apply using the link below by the June 4, 2021 deadline. Congratulations to Elle Lancaster, the 2021 recipient of the $500 Oak Ridge High School English Department Scholarship. Her essay on the power of words and the importance of the written word is original and thought-provoking. Elle will attend either Lee University or Carson Newman University in the fall. Friday morning Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors will have breakfast in the Wildcat Arena Lobby. The food court will be closed for the Senior Breakfast. (5/17,-5/20) – C. Rhinehart

Students, if you have medication in the clinic, please ask your parents to pick it up before Thursday, May 27th. Medications are not allowed to be kept over the summer. Please note that any medications left will be disposed of.

 

ATHLETIC INFORMATION

 

Boys basketball Varsity & JV Tryouts (Current Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors) will be Monday & Tuesday (May 24-25) from 3:30-5:00 each day. Contact Coach Green if you have any questions.

Anyone interested in running cross country in the fall, there will be a meeting in the Civics room, room LC 327 immediately after school on Tuesday, May 18th. (5/14-5/18) – T. Seals

Senior Information

 

Linden Elementary School is celebrating the achievements of former Linden Lions Seniors. The celebration will be held on Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 at 4:00 at the back of the school on the blacktop. MASKS MUST BE WORN. Please tell all of your friends. Parents of these students are welcome to attend and the organizers would love some help on that day. This is for ORHS seniors only that attended Linden Elementary School at some point in their school career. Please direct any questions to Traci Magee at tmagee@ortn.edu.

 

Glenwood is so proud of your accomplishments. We want to recognize your success with a pizza party and ask you to encourage our current cubbies with a farewell wave, during dismissal.
