All ORHS juniors interested in joining the National Honor Society, be sure to pick up the Verification of Interest form in the Media Center. Student Council is hosting Wildcat Week! Theme days will take place May 17th-21st and will conclude with a Powderpuff Football Game at Blankenship field. All female ORHS students are welcome to sign up for a powder puff team. Signups are due April 23rd and should be submitted to Mrs. Wagner in LC331, and teams will be announced on the same date. Come join us on TONIGHT at 8pm for Atomic Acts in the Auditorium! Atomic Acts is a night of hilarious improv and comedic and dramatic scenes performed by 12 of our amazing Masquers! These students will perform scenes from Broadway plays in the Auditorium. They will entertain you with “Who’s Line Is It Anyways?” style short improv that will be sure to keep you guessing and laughing You get to see this dozen perform for free! Donations will be accepted, and COVID-19 protocols will be followed with social distanced seating and the wearing of masks.

The YuGi-Oh! Club will meet in Dr. Colquitt’s room, CS 235, on Friday. Bring your cards and be ready to duel until 4:30 pm. (4/15-4/16) – R. Colquitt

Join Philosophy Club after school on Friday in LC322 (Mr. Pickering’s room) for a general discussion on political philosophy and, as a follow-up to our gun control discussion, the proper roles of government in the affairs of citizens. (4/15-4/16) – A. Pickering

The Interact Club will meet 4/20/21 in LC 327 after school until 4pm. Elections for next year will be discussed as well as the end of the year party!

The City of Oak Ridge Youth Advisory Board is accepting applications for the 2021-2022 term of office. The Board is comprised of sixteen (16) students, all of whom are required to be residents of the City of Oak Ridge. All members are appointed and confirmed by City Council to serve a one-year term of office commencing on August 1st. Apply using the link below by the June 4, 2021 deadline. Seniors, do you need service hours for TN Promise: Emory Heights Neighborhood Clean-Up Service Opportunity is on Saturday, April 24 from 9AM to 12 NOON. Keep Anderson County Beautiful will supply gloves, trash bags and grabber sticks. We will have bottled water and snacks available for volunteers. Registration and parking will be at the corner lot at Warehouse and Coal Yard Roads. We want to clean up along those roads as much as possible. (T, Th – 4/23) – S. Thompson
