STUDENT INFO

Midweek Academic Intervention (MAI) is held every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to noon.  For now, in order to maintain a safe learning environment, only students who meet certain criteria should attend MAI, and those students are strongly encouraged to attend.

Midweek Academic Intervention

  • When: Each Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to noon
  • Who: Any student who has an F for Term 2 or currently has an F for Term 3.
  • What: Students will enter through the main lobby doors and be assigned a location.  There, you will meet with an Academic Coach who will assist you in making a plan of action to improve your grades.  Academic Coaches will then help you stay motivated and complete your missing assignments.  The last day to submit work for Term 3 is Friday, March 5th.

If you do not meet the current criteria for MAI, please know that individual teachers are available for office hours on Wednesdays, and many teachers hold separate tutoring sessions in person or on Zoom on those days, as well.  Please contact your teachers if you would like to request a meeting on a Wednesday.

Breakfast and lunch are available free of charge; however, reservations are required by noon on Tuesday before MAI.  If you would like to order breakfast and/or lunch, please follow this link to do so:  https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=vdNYGNb6YE61OeUm8KqiP7rCP1M8hxRGrEaMv6jACnJUQlJPTlZURVRBNEY3Sk9JWlE1SDFWU1lMTS4u

Our Spring AP exam payment collection will be from March 1 to March 5.  We will be set up in the food court during lunch to accept your payment.  During this time you will be able to pay off your remaining balance for any exam you have already ordered.  You will also be able to order an exam for the first time for any Spring semester AP course.  You will also be able to order an exam for any other AP course if you missed the order deadline in the Fall.  If you missed the Fall deadline, College Board will charge an additional $40 late fee for each exam.

Exams remain $95/exam.  If you are taking four or more exams, the fourth and subsequent exams are $40/exam.  Research and Seminar exams are $143 each.  If you are on free and reduced lunch status, exams are $15/exam.

Please make checks payable to Oak Ridge High School.  Please put the student name and the exam name(s) on the Memo line to ensure that the payment is applied correctly.

If you have any questions at all, please reach out to our AP Coordinator, David Foust at djfoust@ortn.edu
