USA Biolympiad (USABO) registration is open. If you are interested in competing in the premiere biology competition for high school students in the United States, please email Dr. Thomas at sthomas@ortn.edu or stop by LC110. (10/15-16, 10/19-20) – S. Thomas

 

The AMC is more than a one-day competition. When students participate in the AMC 10/12, they experience how fun and rewarding math can be! The competitions will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Registration for the AMC 10B & 12B will look a little different this year.  Just Scan to register on your Math teacher’s door.  Registration deadline is November 20, 2020. (M-10/20) – J. Zimprich

 

In honor of Teen Driver Safety Week, the ASAP Youth Ambassador Coalition is asking you to pick up a Parent-Teen Driving Agreement at the front desk, fill it out with a parent, and return it by this Friday, October 23rd for your chance to win an Amazon gift card!  Today’s tip is:  Follow the speed limits to reduce your chances of a collision and getting to your destination safely.  (10/20/20) – T. Avoid waiting in ticket lines for football games.  Tickets on sale for Friday’s game each day in the Main Office.  Students are $8.00.

Virtual Vandy Fan program provides high school students with information about the selective college admissions process, insight into our financial aid and scholarship programs, and an opportunity to ask questions of our admissions and financial aid officers. The John M. Belk Scholarship, at Davidson College, recognizes powerful students with demonstrated academic excellence, integrity, intellectual curiosity, willingness to take risks, and potential to be change agents in both their local and global communities. If you are interested in being nominated this four-year scholarship, turn in a resume and personal statement as to why you would like to be nominated to Ms. Taylor by Friday, November 6th. (T,F)
