Youth for Christ club will meet in the ROTC room PA 139 during 5a and 5b lunch on Monday and Tuesday. Bring your lunch and have good fellowship with your peers.  All students are welcome to attend.  (M) – Chief Nicholls

ATHLETICS

 

Single game tickets available each week –  Students can purchase your home game tickets in the Main Office at the beginning and end of 5th period each day for that week’s game.  Away games tickets will go on sale @ Noon the week of game until they are sold out in the Ticket Booth near the Auditorium entrance.  All tickets are $8.00.  Spread the word to your friends and family –  General Admissions tickets to all home games will be sold Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 in the Ticket Window near the Auditorium.  No tickets will be sold at school after 12:30 on Friday.  (M Tu) T. Want to save some bucks and not wait in line?   Students  can purchase a Student Athletic Pass for all WILDCAT home games.  This includes Soccer, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball and Boys Soccer  (excludes play-off games) The cost for an All-Sports Athletic Pass for $55.00.  Passes can be purchased during lunch in the Main Office from Mrs. Seals.  – (M Tu) T. STUDENT COMPUTER & DEVICE INFO

 

Students – It is very important devices be restarted every morning when you are in the building.  If a problem occurs during reboot, please try to submit a ticket  at support.ortn.edu.  Regardless, your computer should be brought to the Help Desk for drop off at that time so it can be returned to you by lunch!   (9.5) – S. COUNSELING INFO

 

Attention all Sophomores and Juniors:  The PSAT/NMSQT® is an OPTIONAL test that will be offered to 10th and 11th graders at Oak Ridge High School on Wednesday, October 14th at 7:50 a.m. This date is set by PSAT/CollegeBoard. Because Wednesday is a virtual learning day, students that register for the PSAT will be responsible for arranging transportation to and from school on that day. The test should end around 1:00 p.m.

Registration will be conducted on four occasions during lunch: September 1st, September 3rd, September 8th and September 10th. A registration table will be set up on these days in the main lobby near the Food Court. Students can stop by to register. The cost is $17. Students should bring a check in the amount of $17 made out to Oak Ridge High School with the student’s name and PSAT in the subject line. Cash will also be accepted (exact change preferred) but checks are preferred. No refunds are available if you do not take the test. A limited number of exams are available. Johns Hopkins University will be hosting a virtual visit on Thursday, September 3rd immediately after school.  If you would like to attend this virtual visit email Ms. Campbell (akcampbell@ortn.edu) for the link. (9.3)

 

The annual ORHS Financial Aid Night will not be held this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, TSAC (Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation) is hosting several virtual webinars to provide this information to senior parents especially. You must register in order to join a webinar. The University of Memphis will be hosting a virtual college visit at 10:40am on Wednesday, September 2nd.  The US Naval Academy will also be hosting a virtual visit on Thursday, September 3rd at 11:25am.  If you are interested in either of these events, email Ms. Campbell at akcampbell@ortn.edu for the link. ACT Practice Info

 

We will hold our second ACT Practice on Saturday, September 5, beginning at noon. If you’d like to attend, please email Coach Etheridge (AEtheridge@ortn.edu) and indicate your interest by Wednesday. We have room for 38 physically-distanced participants in the Amphitheatre. Here’s the time schedule:

All participants will enter the building at the front entrance and have a temperature check, and everyone must wear a face covering.
