The Countdown Begins –  The Spring Musical “Little Mermaid” is 11 days away!  Do you have your tickets for this beloved story?  Shows are Mar 6-8:  Friday at 7, Saturday at 2 and 7, and Sunday at 2.  Advance tickets are $8 and are available from a Masquer, Mr. Moreno’s classroom, or the Bookstore.  Don’t miss the biggest show in Masquer History! DID YOU KNOW –  “You don’t make progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. You make progress by implementing ideas.”  So said Shirley Chisholm,the first African American woman in Congress and the first woman and the first African American to seek the nomination for president from one of the two major parties.  Stop by the library to learn about Congresswoman Chisholm and other African Americans who have made a lasting impact on our political landscape as we celebrate  Black History Month 2020. ACT Prep: On Wednesday, February 28, we will meet at 2:00 PM in room LC 327 to prepare for the ACT Science test. Ms. Hondorf will teach the highest-value content (particularly related to reading graphs and tables), and we will take a practice test. CLUB INFO

 

Interact club will meet Monday after school Monday in the amphitheater until 4pm. (M) – A. King

 

Teens For Contact will meet Tuesday in the counseling office after school until 4pm. (M) – A. King

 

The ORHS Key Club is collecting donations of diapers and baby wipes in conjunction with the Oak Ridge Kiwanis Club. Donations may be dropped off at the office or with Mr. Schoolcraft. These resources will be donated to TORCH, a local charity. Donations will be accepted until February 27. (M,W,Th) – J. Schoolcraft

 

COUNSELING INFO

 

In order for the counselors to register students for classes, students must return their registration form with a parent/guardian signature before their registration date. Otherwise, students will not be able to register for classes.  (2/18-2/24) – B. Ottinger
