STUDENT INFO

We are having reports students are parking in spaces designated for staff and visitors.  Spaces in the front of the building in the loop are NOT for students.  If you park there you risk having Quality Towing picking up your vehicle. (Tu,Th 2/20)  Admin

The ORHS Track team will hold its annual pancake breakfast Saturday February 29th – LEAP DAY!- AT Aubrey’s in Oak Ridge.  Let’s pack the house!  Tickets are 5$ in advance or at the door.  Lots of swag on sale as well.  Thank you for your support of our athletes. (W,Tu,Th 2.28) T. Sauer

NAACP, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Oak Ridge Interfaith Community invite ORHS students to sign up for The Express Yourself Youth Talent Show.  The show will be held at the Historic Grove Theater on February 22, 2020 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm.  Download a registration form at https://tinyurl.com/expressyoureg and then send it to rs_wvr@yahoo.com (T,Th 1/30-2/20) – S. CLUB INFO

Lee Younger will be the speaker for Fellowship of Christian Athletes tomorrow morning at 7:05 at Providence House across from the Wildcat Arena Parking lot.  All are welcome for a Christian message from Lee, biscuits, donuts and chocolate milk!  (Th) – T. Froning

The ORHS Math Club, Mu Alpha Theta, will meet this Friday, Feb. 21 for our Club photo and to finalize plans for the upcoming State Competition at Farragut High School on March 6 and 7.  Please plan on joining us for photos and practice. COUNSELING INFO

In order for the counselors to register students for classes, students must return their registration form with a parent/guardian signature before their registration date. Otherwise, students will not be able to register for classes.  (2/18-2/24) – B. Ottinger

Attention Juniors!  There will be an information meeting on Thursday, February 27^th  for those interested in representing Oak Ridge HS at the Tennessee American Legion Boys State and the American Legion Auxiliary Volunteer Girls State this May. The meeting will be in the Library Media Center classroom at 3:10. It will last about 30-40 minutes total. Last year’s participants will be speaking with you regarding what the week is all about and what you do and learn through this amazing week-long experience. The fee to attend is covered so those selected do not have to pay to attend. Boys State is held at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville and Girls State is held at Lipscomb University in Nashville.
