STUDENT INFO

DID YOU KNOW –  – Congressman John Lewis was still in his early twenties when he became known as one of the “Big Six” leaders of the Civil Rights Movement. At 23, he was the youngest leader to address the crowd at the March on Washington, alongside MLK, who gave his famous I Have a Dream speech. In 1965, he helped organize the march from Selma to Montgomery, an event that was instrumental in passing the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Come to the library to learn more about Congressman John Lewis, who still represents GA’s 5th District, and other civil rights heroes as we celebrate Black History Month 2020. (M) – C. Milloway

CLUB INFO

Ski Club reimbursement forms are now available from Ms. Sobek and Ms. Stevens.  If you paid for a trip but were unable to attend, this is your chance to get your money back.  Forms are due Thursday, February 13th. (M) – D. Sobek

Senior steering will be selling carnations Monday through Thursday in the main lobby, outside the library, in the bus loop lobby and arena lobby before school, at the end of lunch and immediately after school. Flowers will be delivered to your loved ones on Valentine’s Day!  Prices –  $2 for one carnation or   $5 for 3 carnations.  Make someone’s Valentine’s Day Special!!  (M) – B. Hondorf
