Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

ACT Practice: The Oak Ridge Chapter of the NAACP and Oak Ridge Schools are co-sponsoring Saturday ACT Prep sessions at the Scarboro Center on Saturday, January 25, and Saturday, February 1, from 8:00 AM-11:30 AM. On the 25th we will focus on the English and Reading tests, and on the 1st we’ll focus on the Math and Science tests.  Instructors include Ms. Estep, Ms. Hale, Dr. Vaughan, Ms. Hondorf, Dr. Thomas, and Coach Etheridge. If you’d like to participate, please email Coach Etheridge (Aetheridge@ortn.edu) and indicate the date(s) that interest you. In particular, we’d like to see students who cannot attend our Wednesday afternoon sessions, but all students are welcome. We’ll have door prizes and lunch.

The dates with asterisks (**) require pre-registration so that we know to reserve a seat for you. To pre-register, email Coach Etheridge (aetheridge@ortn.edu)and indicate the session that interests you. SENIOR INFO

 

Attention seniors, if the colleges to which you have applied either require or have specifically requested a mid-year report, you must submit a Mid-Year Transcript Request Form in the Counseling Office in order for your mid-year report to be sent.

 

Also, for clarification, all colleges require a final transcript and those are sent in June. Students will request final transcripts in May as part of their senior exit process. Current requests only apply to mid-year reports. (Tu,Th – 1.17) B. Ottinger

 

 

ATHLETICS NEXT WEEK

 

Interested in trying out for the Wildcat or Lady Wildcat tennis teams? An Orientation Meeting for players and parents new to the program will be held this Thursday from 6-7:00 PM in the ORHS Amphitheater. Students may stop by Room LC-218 to see Coach Bowman after school with questions about the upcoming spring season that starts February 10th. (1/14-1/16) – D. Bowman

 

 

There will be a mandatory 2020 Outdoor Track Season Meeting Tuesday January 14th in LC 326 immediately after school for all athletes who are planning to run. We will go over schedule, procedures, and rules. (W,F,M, Tu) – T. Sauer
