Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin


Masquers would like to invite you to Sketch Night on Thursday, at 7.  Come watch your friends show off their acting skill and directing skills in 7-10 minute sketches.  The cost is $3 and is in the Auditorium. (W) – V. Moreno


Any Junior interested in serving on the Class of 2020 Senior Steering committee needs to apply.  See Ms. Hondorf or Ms. Sobek.  Senior Steering is a group of 20 students who work with the class officers to plan and organize senior class activities.  Hurry! Attention Seniors! There is a paid summer internship at UT.  This runs from 8am-1pm for 4 weeks in June.  There you will learn about STEM teaching and get a chance to teach and learn under guidance of UT faculty members.  This is open to all graduating seniors who plan to enroll in a Community College next fall.  For more information, please contact Dr. Lynn Hodge at


Student Council is offering a $2000 scholarship to a senior in the class of 2019. Applicants should have made a positive impact on their community, shown exceptional leadership, and contributed to the student body in their four years at ORHS! Academy graduates receive a bachelor’s degree in their field of study and become commissioned Officers in their respective branch of service. Think you’ve got what it takes? Learn more at Congressman Chuck Fleischmann’s 2018 Academy Day on Saturday, April 28th at 10:00 a.m. at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga University Center. House Method is opening the second annual House Method scholarship, which awards $1,000 toward the education of a student committed to bettering our lives in our homes.
