Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

NHS has a free tutoring triple threat in your court to help launch the last term of the year! Come see Andrew Ledden, Taku Mabvuta, and Thomas Peplow in the Counseling Center from 3:15 to 3:50 on Tuesday.

Intersession will be held March 11-14 from 8:00 to 3:30. Students may sign up for the morning session (8 to 11:30) or the afternoon session (12:00 to 3:30) or both. Intersession applications are available in the main office and the counseling office and must be signed by the teacher of the course and the parent. Students may recover failing grades for up to two courses from Term 3 or Term 2 (if they passed Term 3). ORHS is also offering an ACT prep class for intersession just in time for the ACT on April 2. ACT prep is available on a first come first served basis, and we will fill the a.m. session first.

For the first time ever, ORHS will be offering bus transportation for intersession. If students need transportation, their forms are due by Wednesday at noon, otherwise, the forms may be turned in by Thursday at noon. Buses will run in the morning and the afternoon only. There will be no drop off after the first session. Intersession is an important opportunity for students to get their grades on track and work toward earning their credits.

For questions about intersession, please email Ms. Estep at kestep@ortn.edu.

If you missed the first meeting for the Europe 2020 trip to Italy, Monaco, France and Spain, please see Madame Bailey in LC-304 for information.  Remember, only 46 travelers can go, and the $450 discount is good until 3/14/19!   (F, M F 3.8)  L. Bailey

Attention 10th and 11th graders: if you signed up to do Service Learning (aide for a teacher) next year, you must submit the Service Learning Application signed by the teacher to the Student Services by Wednesday, March 6th. If you do not turn in this signed form by the deadline, you will be dropped from Service Learning and you will have to take another class instead. (F-W) – L. Wendt
