Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Any student who is interested in co-op for 2019-2020 and has met the Business Academy prerequisites, please ask your counselor register you for Business Academy Co-op. You will be required to attend a mandatory meeting later this term in order to be eligible to co-op next year. See Mrs. Ledden in CS347 if you have questions. (1/8, 1/10, 1/11) – T. Ledden

Winter Formal is coming! Student Council will be hosting its first ever Winter Formal on February 2nd from 7 to 10 p.m.! If you would like to nominate yourself or somebody else for the Snow Court, then please stop by Mrs. Wagner’s class (LC331) to fill out a short form. These nominations are due by January 18th! There will be a boy and a girl from each grade on the court. Tickets are $15, and will be sold 2 weeks before the dance in the arena kiosk and top of the cafeteria. All proceeds will go towards money for the Second Harvest Food Bank. Get your semi-formal to formal attire ready!  (1/9-1/18 WF) – A. Wagner

Join Philosophy Club after school Friday in Mr. Pickering’s room (LC322) for an Ethics Bowl practice. Anyone interested in participating in the UTK Ethics Bowl should attend, but everyone is welcome to come to discuss and learn.  (1/10-1/11) – A. Pickering

COUNSELING INFO

 

The Anderson County Democratic Women’s Scholarship is offering a $500 award to a female student. If you would like to be considered for this scholarship, please attach a paragraph statement to your local scholarship form that states why you think you would be a good candidate for this scholarship. Please turn this to Mrs. Morris in the Counseling Office by March 1st, 2019. Stop by the Counseling Office if you have any questions.  (11/16-3/01 F) – A. Morris

 

 

Attention seniors!  If your college requires you to submit a midyear transcript, you must submit a transcript request form in the School Counseling Office. Please have these turned in by Friday, January 11th if possible. (1/9-1/11) – B. Ottinger
