STUDENT INFO

 

Lost and Found-  If you have lost anything thing, Coats, keys, cups, coats, jewelry, glasses, shirts, etc.  Please come by the Attendance office and check to see if it has been turned in.  We will be donating it during the Holiday Break.  (12/10, 12/13, 12/20) – C. Wilson

 

ACT Prep Class: ORHS teachers will hold two ACT Prep sessions on Wednesday, January 9. Sessions will run from 2:15-3:00, and from 3:15-4:00. ACT English in Amphitheatre (with Ginger Flanders and Allen Etheridge), ACT Math in LC 326 (with Tom Froning), and ACT Science in  LC 327 (with Sharon Thomas). If you are interested in SAVING THE PLANET or just want to travel to Germany and Switzerland you need to see Mrs. Hondorf or Mrs. Sobek for information about our Spring Break 2020 trip. There is a $200 discount if you sign up in the next week. (12.14) – B. Hondorf

Have you been wondering why more and more graphic novels are being read every year, especially by women?  Well now is the perfect time to find out what all the excitement  is about.  Come by the library to check out the new and improved graphic novel section.  Graphic fiction is now color coded by genre so it is easier than ever to find the perfect graphic sci fi, romance or adventure novel.  And all your favorite super hero stories have been shelved together for easier browsing.  Books checked out now are due after winter break, so load up and enjoy! CLUB INFO

 

Students helping La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica with the Christmas project need to purchase the gifts and bring them to Mrs. Ferguson’s room by Monday, December 17. We will wrap all gifts after school on Tuesday, December 18.  (F) – L. Ferguson

 

Bonjour! French Club will meet immediately after school in Madame Barry’s room CS 307 on Monday, December 17th-if you are participating in this year’s Secret Santa, don’t forget to bring your gift to the meeting! The meeting will end no later than 3:45 PM. Merci! (M) – E. Barry

 

 

Ski Club Trips will start immediately after the winter holiday break.  Pick up trip forms from Ms. Sobek (LC217) or Ms. Stevens(CS 237).  The second Saturday in January we will be skiing and snowboarding at Sugar Mountain Ski Resort in NC.  Join the Remind group by texting @orhssk to 81010 (Tu, Th 12.20)     D. IRC members and other interested students are encouraged to attend IRC on Thursday 12/13 from 3 – 4 in the  Combined Studies former room.  We will have snacks but more importantly we will have visitors from VOLMUN IV.  The Secretary General, Grant Peterson will bring members of his team to meet with us and give us more information about preparation for the February event. The Boys and Girls Club is looking for 11th and 12th graders who would be interested in volunteering as tutors. Students applicants need to be responsible and willing to help with reading, writing, math and science.
