Did you know that the tragic massacre in Parkland, FL this past February was the 208th school shooting since the Columbine High School massacre? Did you know that of these 208 school shootings, nine have occured in TN, two of which occurred in schools we play against under the Friday night lights? If you think that students should have the right to be able to come to school without being afraid, join us this Friday, April 20 at the rally against gun violence. Featured in the rally will be student speakers, poets, artists, and musicians sharing how gun violence has affected their lives. There will also be stations where you can register to vote and write letters to your senators, as well as free T-shirts that say “My vote, my voice” for the first 50 students that attend. Although you’re welcome to pack a lunch, free pizza will be provided to students that attend. Follow @Wildcats4Change on twitter for updates. We hope you’ll join us. (4/17) –
