Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Hello everybody! It’s time to sign up for fun next summer! Come and sign up for the German exchange program! Everyone who took German, is taking German at the moment, or is a German heritage student can participate. The next and important GAPP meeting is coming up soon! It will be on November 20th at 6 pm in the Amphitheater. So don’t forget to mark it in your calendar!! You do not know what GAPP is? Let me tell you: you stay with a family in Germany; you make lifelong friends; You eat German food; visit historical places, and enjoy the summertime events in small towns and big cities.  So come to our next parent meeting on Monday, November 20th at 6pm in the Amphitheater.  (11/14—11/20) S. Here at midterm NHS is sending in reinforcements to provide free tutoring from 3:15-3:50 in the Counselling Center on Tuesday. You’ll find THREE helpful scholars:  Radha Awasthi, Reagan Dickens, and Reid Dukes. (11/13-11/14) – K. Senter

Do you like money and fame? Do you like to write poetry? Enter the Branching Out poetry contest! You can submit up to three poems before 1:50 on Wednesday, November 29. There are two categories, Freshman-Sophomore and Junior-Senior; in each category, the first place winner will receive $25, second place will receive $15, and third place will receive $10. COUNSELING INFO

The National Youth Science Camp is a residential science education program for young STEM enthusiasts the summer after they graduate from high school. Students from around the country are challenged academically in exciting lectures and hands-on studies, and have voluntary opportunities to participate in an outdoor adventure program, gain a new and deep appreciation for the great outdoors, and establish friendships that last a lifetime. CLUB & ORGANIZATION INFO

Science Olympiad Builders need to meet in Mrs. Foust’s room LC207 on Wednesday afterschool from 2-3pm to work with your building mentor.  Bring prototypes or ideas to the meeting. (11/13-11/14) – K. Foust

The ORHS Interact Club is collecting new and gently used books for children and teenagers! The new books will be distributed during the Oak Ridge Christmas Parade and the gently used books will be added to the little libraries around our community!
