Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

ROTC is holding a food drive from now until Friday, November 17.  All food donated will be distributed to needy families of ORHS students.  Please bring all non-perishable items to the ROTC classroom, PA 139. (T, TH-11/17) – R. Nicholls

The Fall Play “Dearly Departed” starts tonightat 7.  This weekend show are on Saturday at 7 and Sunday at 2.  Tickets will be sold at the door for $7.  Don’t miss this this hilarious show! (11/9) – V. Moreno

If you want to know why and to learn more about the Scandinavian culture that gave us the names of the days of the week and so much more come to the informational meeting for the Fall Break 2018 trip next Sunday, November 19th at 3pm in the Amphitheater. Look on the bright side. There is no drought, and there won’t be forest fires destroying Gatlinburg this year. And there is free NHS tutoring from 3:15-3:50 in the Counselling Center on Thursday with Will Jeter and Joshua Bridges. (11/8-11/9) – K. Senter

CLUB & ORGANIZATION INFO

Like to Ski? Like to Snowboard? Want to learn? If so then join the Ski Club.   The first club meeting of the year is after school on Tuesday, Nov 14 in Ms. Sobek’s room, LC217. We will discuss the schedule and other logistics involved in going on a trip with the High School.  If you can’t make this meeting but want to join – See Ms. Sobek or Ms. Stevens the club sponsors. Like to read?  Love to talk?  Like to snack?  Then the brand new ORHS book club is the place for you!  Come to our first organizational meeting in the library after school on Monday, November 13.  If you’d like to be a part of the Club but can’t make the meeting, please stop by the library and talk to Mrs. Milloway. Interested in practicing for a math test unlike any other?  The NACLO exam is coming in January.  If you are interested in signing up for this computational linguistics exam, or if you would like to come and practice some very different math challenge problems, join us on Friday after school in Mrs. Mullins’ room, CS231 right after school.  Also, all math club members please attend as we prepare for our upcoming fundraising event as well.  A little planning, an little math fun…a great Friday afternoon!
