Dear Parents,
On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to welcome you to Glenwood Elementary School. We are committed to providing a quality education to your children. We consider the worth and value of each child, and strive to meet his or her individual needs. We are committed to building a solid foundation in the basic skills of reading, writing, language arts, and math along with content areas in science and social studies. In addition, your children will have instruction from specialists in P.E., Music, Library, and Computers. Our curriculum and instructional practices build skills and thinking strategies that will empower students to be independent and successful throughout their lives.
Just as important as building a strong academic foundation is the formation and strengthening of good citizenship. Students are encouraged to be responsible and be fully engaged in their own learning.
