Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is a new program at Oak Ridge High School which gives students the opportunity to experience rigorous courses with support. Oak Ridge High School is seeking tutors to help students twice a week. Tutors do not have to be content experts but do need to be willing to ask questions, collaborate with young people, and attend training specific to AVID. There are paid and volunteer tutor positions available. Volunteering for AVID satisfies Tennessee Promise requirements for college students. Please see the attached flier for more information.
