During fall break, twelve students and three teachers (Dr. O’Connor, Mrs. Jeter, and Coach Scott) from Robertsville Middle School visited the Tremont Institute in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. They camped in tents for three days, hiked to a waterfall, caught salamanders in the creeks, and participated in problem-solving and team building activities. The students also learned about black bears, raptors, trees, and weather while they were at Tremont. On their final night, they had a campfire, complete with songs, stories, and s’mores. RMS would like to thank the Robertsville community for the individual, group, and business donations that made this wonderful trip possible.
