Need some volunteer or community service hours? Office of Coordinated School Health is looking for race day volunteers for our 3rd Annual Oak Ridge Schools STOMP OUT Tobacco 5k coming up on Saturday, May 20th at Grove Center Race Course!  Volunteers are needed anytime from 6am – 11am at your availability and all volunteers will receive a free race t-shirt!  Remember, all Oak Ridge Schools students and employees can register for FREE online before race day!  If you are interested in participating or volunteering, please contact me at jllaurendine@ortn.edu.  (5/10, 5/15, 5/17, 5/19) – J. SENIOR INFO

Each year, ORHS Student Council awards a $2000 one-time scholarship to a graduating senior who has been involved with leadership activities, either at school, in the community, or a combination of both.  If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, please see Mrs. Homan in CS227 for an application.  The due date for returning the applications is Wednesday, May 17th. Spirit of Compassion Scholarship: A $500 scholarship will be awarded to the Oak Ridge High School Senior who has best demonstrated an unconditional love and a spirit of compassion for the people of their community. CLUB & ORGANIZATION INFO

All new junior members of National Honor Society will meet on Monday, May 15 at 3:15 in LC-327.  We will be electing officers and inducting the remaining 5 members into the Society.  Mr. McDonald may stop by as well to visit! THIS WEEK – ORHS ATHLETICS

Try outs for anyone interested in playing JV or Varsity Basketball for the 2017-2018 season will be May 15-16 (Monday-Tuesday) from 3:30 -5:00pm. If you cannot attend these 2 days but still want to try out please see coach Green. You must have a NEW physical form on file in order to try out. (5/10-5/12) – A. Green
