STUDENT INFO

Attention all students registered to take an AP Exam in May. Don’t forget that you must attend a pre-administration session prior to testing. Tomorrow’s sessions will be before and after school only. There aren’t any sessions today. (4/11-4/13) – A. Henry

Are you a current Junior that would like to be nominated as a Wofford Scholar? Wofford announces their 69th annual Wofford Scholars Program. Qualified candidates are eligible to compete for scholarships ranging from $3,000 per year up to full scholarship, which is valued at approximately $45,000 per year. Tomorrow is the final Masquers production, SKETCH NIGHT.  It is our opportunity to showcase what we have been learning this past year in the Masquers classes and for actors to entertain you in 5-7 min sketches.  There will also be a couple of hilarious One act plays.  It will make you think, it will make you laugh.  Thursday, April 13th in the ORPAC at 7pm.  Admission is $3. The Youth Advisory Board is accepting applications for the 2017-2018 Term of Office commencing on August 1st, 2017.  Participation on the City of Oak Ridge YAB requires attendance at bi-monthly meetings on Wednesday afternoons and also at special events throughout the year.  All interested students are encouraged to pick up an application in the Guidance Offices at JMS and RMS, the Student Affairs Office at ORHS, or at the Front Desk of the Civic Center.  Application requirements include being an Oak Ridge resident and a student that is entering 8th-12th grade.  Applications must be submitted to the Civic Center by May 19, 2017.  For any further questions, please contact Matt Reedy at 425-3450. Current sophomores who will be taking a Dual Enrollment course next year that requires an ACT as part of the dual enrollment criteria are reminded that the deadline to sign up for the June 10th ACT is Friday, May 5th. The make-up meeting for all students who are registered for the Business Academy Co-op Program and/or the Virtual Enterprise Course for next year will be Monday, April 17. The meeting will be held after school beginning at 3:15 in room CS347. Plan to stay 45 minutes to an hour. (4/12-13) – T. Ledden

 

SENIOR INFO

Seniors: Each year, members of the Senior Class speak at Convocation and Commencement. Tryouts for these Senior Speeches are held on one day.  Make-ups are not available. This year, tryouts will be held on Thursday, April 20, at 3:15 in CS336. If you think you may be interested in trying out, see Ms. Sasser in CS336 for additional information. CLUB & ORGANIZATION INFO

Small Talk with Colquitt will NOT meet this Thursday after school.

The YuGi-Oh! Club will meet in CS 235 after school this Thursday until 5 pm. We are out of school on Friday, so please not the different day for this club. (4/11, 4/12) – R. Colquitt
