This is the 5th week of the quarter!  Mid-terms will go out next week!  Take advantage of the free tutoring services offered by NHS in the guidance office.  This week see John and James Brown on Tuesday and Nicole Lindsley and Dean Stetzel on Thursday to get the help you need.  (1/30, 1/31, 2/2) – L. Madrid, Paris, the beaches of San Sebastian and St. Malo!  What a wonderful way to spend two weeks in the summer!  Those students who are interested in traveling to France and Spain in June of 2018 should attend the informational meeting on Thursday evening at 7:00 in the Amphitheater.  Bring a parent with you!!  If you are unable to attend the meeting, email Madame Bailey (lbailey@ortn.edu) or see her in LC-304 on Friday for more information. AP Exam Registration is coming soon!  Students who plan to take an AP Exam this spring must register in the main lobby Monday, February 6 through Wednesday, February 8.  The registration table will be open before school, during lunch, and after school.  Students can choose to pay for all of their exams up front ($93 per exam) or pay in 3 installments ($31 per exam, per installment).  An initial payment must be made at the time of registration.  Please see your AP Teacher for additional information including the AP Exam Schedule. Trying to find something simple to show affection for your friends this Valentine’s Day? Buy a carnation!

Carnations will be sold from Wednesday, February 8th to Monday, February 13th during lunch and after school for $2 each or 2 for $3. All carnations will be delivered on Valentine’s Day to your loved ones and special friends! (2/2-2/3) – B. Hondorf

The Harry Potter Club will have an early Valentine Day celebration after school in Mrs. Mullins’ room, CS 231, on Monday, February 6.  We will discuss romance in the Harry Potter world, and the magic of love potions!  All Potter fans are welcome. (2/2-2/3) – K. Mullins
