Our Purpose

Support teacher learning in:

• Exploring new teaching methods and strengthening existing skills
• Exchanging classroom ideas and sharing materials with colleagues
• Developing standards-based units of study
• Studying new theory/research and translating it for every day use
• Providing workshops for collaboration on topics of professional interest

Our Resources

The Teacher Center has materials and equipment to enable the preparation of classroom units.  Equipment includes:

• Binding Machine
• Button Maker (2 ¼")
• Ellison Die Cuts
• Laminator
• Poster Printer
• GradeMaster Scanner

Our Services

• Provides and/or arranges inservice training for all ORS staff
• Sponsors study groups and workshops on a range of subjects for teachers' professional growth
• Publishes a monthly newsletter
• Coordinates the Extended Contract process
• Directs Federal Programs grants
